Beats Per Minute

Inside a geodesic dome in George Square, in the heart of the city, this immersive 30 minute audio-visual event invites you to get inside the beating hearts and heads of athletes who dedicate their lives to their sport at incredible cost.

Wearing headphones and vibrating Subpacs attached to your body and surrounded by projections you will enter into the world of the athletes and experience their hopes, their dreams and their adrenaline-fuelled victories.

Created by Cora Bissett (Glasgow Girls) and Leonie Rae Gasson, with Garry Boyle, Emily James and Jamie Wardrop. Presented by Raw Material and Pachamama Productions.

Suitable for all ages and fully accessible. Beats Per Minute will involve the use of strobe lighting, projection and Subpac technology. Women that are pregnant or who could possibly be pregnant should not use the SUBPAC. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend and strongly discourage usage of a SUBPAC by any persons with a pacemaker or other internal implanted bodily devices whatsoever.
