Edinburgh Festivals 2025
The Edinburgh Festival season is always a crazy busy time and this year is no exception. I currently have 4 projects running across three of this year’s festivals - The Burns Project and Float are performing as part of the Fringe Festival, The Singer is screening at the Edinburgh Deaf Festival and I will also be taking part in a panel discussion at this year’s Book Festival.
Edinburgh Fringe Festival:
THE BURNS PROJECT
The Burns Project Trailer
Voted one of The Herald’s Top 10 picks of the week and with a 4-Star review from The Scotsman, The Burns Project is a theatrical production created by the National Trust for Scotland in collaboration with theatremaker James Clements. This one-person performance, directed by myself, brings to life the letters, poems, and artifacts of the celebrated Scottish poet, Robert Burns. Using recently digitized archival materials, Clements explores the complexities of Burns' life, illustrating both his cultural significance and personal struggles.
“A Burns Supper with a difference is the best amongst our critic’s latest round-up of theatre shows across the Fringe.”
FLOAT
Float
A new autobiographical solo show by Indra Wilson about the lonely, turbulent journey of experiencing pregnancy loss as a queer young person.
A black hole forms when a star dies, explodes into tiny little pieces until it returns back to the dust it once was – as if it never even existed in the first place.
With dynamic sound and projections, be immersed in this unique, heartfelt and hopeful debut.
Co-directed by Cora Bissett and Niloo-Far Khan.
Produced by award-winning feminist company F-Bomb Theatre

1995 - GRRRLS ALOUD
1995 - GRRRLS ALOUD
I am delighted to be participating in the panel discussion: 1995 - GRRRLS ALOUD.
Hosted by BBC broadcaster and A Kick Up The Arts host Nicola Meighan, this is a celebration of the femme-powered revolution that was kicking off in Scotland, circa ‘95. It was the summer that Garbage released their debut album; that Annie Lennox ruled the charts with Medusa; that Glasgow's Delgados upturned the landscape with their songs and label, Chemikal Underground. The band’s Emma Pollock reflects on that time - and its reverberations to this day - with Me, Carrie Marshall and Chitra Ramaswamy, soundtracked by a fired-up playlist, and live music from Hen Hoose Collective’s Cariss Crosbie. What’s the story? Oh, there’s always more than one…
