Still Life with Woodpecker by Tom Robbins
“Love is the ultimate outlaw. It just won't adhere to any rules.
The most any of us can do is to sign on as its accomplice.
Instead of vowing to honor and obey, maybe we should swear to aid and abet.
That would mean that security is out of the question.
The words "make" and "stay" become inappropriate.
My love for you has no strings attached.
I love you for free.”

✺ WHAT’S THE BOOKING PROCESS? ✺
So let’s go through the process:
STEP ONE
Firstly, I want to meet you both, either on zoom or in person, so that you can get a chance to see if I am the right fit for you. This will be a short initial consultation (approx. 20 mins), where I can give you a sense of how a humanist ceremony works, the building blocks of the ceremony and how we would work together to create this for you.
To book this consultation please contact me on:
Tel: 07786238974 or email: celebrantcora@gmail.com
STEP TWO
After your initial consultation, I will send you a link to a Save the Date booking form.
If you would like to proceed, you can complete this form to ensure I have your chosen date confirmed in my diary. To finalise your booking, you will be asked to pay a non-refundable deposit of £120. This will be deducted from the overall total fee.
STEP THREE: THE FUN PART
So you have decided I am the right fit for you. Now we get to the creative part.
You can now book a 90 min session, where I will listen to your story; how you met, what brought you together, the funny parts, the profound parts, the connections, the journey you have had, and the journey you want to go on. I will take lots of notes and really learn about who you both are.
This meeting should take place 3-6 months before the wedding date.
I will guide you through the various sections of the ceremony and can offer a selection of poems, songs, lyrics and readings as stimulus to help you decide what words you want on your day. I will provide guidance on writing your own vows and also give you options of various rituals which can be incorporated into the ceremony such as hand fasting, sharing the quaich, broom jumping and others. We will discuss if you would like close friends or family to do any of the readings, songs, etc, or if you would like me to do the whole thing. All versions are valid and welcome.
This meeting can happen online or in person (if not too far from Glasgow). I am happy to travel, as I do love meeting people in person, (but please note, a mileage charge will incur if more than 20 miles outside Glasgow).
To secure this meeting you will be asked to pay the remaining £330 fee.
STEP FOUR
I will then write the script based on everything we have discussed, sending a draft to you by email. You can then get back to me with any edits or re-writes.
When you are happy with the finalised version, we will lock that down and then meet on the day!
STEP FIVE: THE BIG DAY!
I will always arrive at least one hour before the ceremony to check in with you, the venue and any guests who are involved in the ceremony, ensuring everyone is comfortable with what they need to do and where they need to be. I will bring copies of the script for you both should you need them and will be there ready to serve your big day with joy, encouragement, and a big supporting hug.
If you would like to connect for an initial consultation, please email me at celebrantcora@gmail.com

"Marriage is not a house or even a tent
It is before that, and colder:
The edge of the forest, the edge of the desert
The unpainted stairs at the back where we squat outside, eating popcorn
The edge of the receding glacier, where painfully, and with wonder, at having survived even this far,
We are learning to make fire."
- Habitation by Margaret Atwood
